The Art of Detail: How We Create a Rustic Oak Table
Carpentry Workshop
Master Carpenter
Hand finishing to highlight the wood's natural texture.
The creative process of a piece of solid wood furniture is a journey from raw to finished, where each oak board is carefully selected for its unique structure and hue.
Materials and Preparation
We work exclusively with oak wood from sustainable sources, checked for stability and dried under controlled conditions. The first step is hand planing, which reveals the natural grain and knots, giving the piece personality.
- Selecting boards for uniform color and texture.
- Assembly using traditional joinery (mortise and tenon) for maximum strength.
- Progressive sanding, from coarse to fine grit, for a velvety surface.
Natural Finishing Technique
We avoid any toxic chemicals. We apply natural oils and wax, hand-rubbed in multiple layers, to protect the wood and enhance the depth of color.
Final Assembly and Quality Control
The table leg is secured with an invisible locking system, ensuring stability without compromising aesthetics. Each piece is inspected in detail before leaving the workshop.
