Our artisanal finishing process is what transforms a piece of solid wood into a piece of furniture with soul. In our workshop, hand sanding and scraping are not just techniques, but a work philosophy that respects the material.
The Essential Steps of Processing
- Wood Selection: We use exclusively oak wood with a certificate of sustainable origin, guaranteeing it does not come from illegal logging.
- Initial Sanding: We remove major imperfections, preparing the surface for the fine finish.
- Applying the Hand Scraper: This is the key moment. Through circular motions and controlled pressure, we highlight the unique texture of each board, accentuating the knots and fibers.
- The Natural Finish: We apply plant-based oils and wax. We strictly prohibit the use of toxic chemicals or high-VOC varnishes.
